Stage 4: the hardest stage in history!

The judgement day has come and we witnessed the first cancelled stage in 12-year history of the race. This was the hardest decision to make, but also the only right one in our opinion. Riders’ safety and wellbeing is the priority. I know you are disappointed with this situation, and believe us - so are we. But you can’t fight the forces of nature. Today’s stage was won by the strongest participant of the race - the weather.

The general classification results from Stage 3 remain in power. The men category on Classic distance was won by Paweł Kowalkowski (Cryospace Olsztyn), second place for Michał Neumann (CST 7R MTB Team) and third for Julien Delaet (Hot Wheelz Specialized Racing Team).     The women competition won in an undisputed style by Rita Malinkiewicz (CST 7R MTB Team), followed by Russian Seda Grenavetseva (Corto Team Russian Federation) and German Monika Eggert (MTB Eulenexpress des RSC Wanderlust v. 1890 e.V.).

Anna Tomica (Gomola Trans Airco) took the win in women category. Second place for Izabela Gościańska (DT4YOU MTB TEAM) and third for Katarzyna Galewicz.

In teams competition on Classic distance first place for LITUANIA MTB TEAM in TEAM MEN category and a win for MTB Eulenexpress Peine - Team 1 in TEAM MIX category. On Mega distance Team Verge Polska takes the win in TEAM MEN category and GOMOLA TRANS AIRCO - Team 2 wins TEAM MIX category.

It’s not the race’s epilogue that we have dreamt of, but we stay humble and motivated to come back here next year. We hope so are you! We’ve already got new ideas in our heads that we will not hesitate to use. Mark this dates: 20-23th of June 2019. See you in Istebna!
